John A. Dodson, MD, MPH is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Director of the Cardiovascular Geriatrics Program at New York University School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency at Columbia and fellowships in clinical cardiology and geriatric clinical epidemiology at Yale. He subsequently spent a year as a postdoctoral research fellow and another year as an Instructor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School. His clinical and research interests focus on how to optimize medical decision-making and quality of life for older adults with cardiovascular disease. He is the recipient of a Grants for Early Medical and Surgical Subspecialists’ Transition to Aging Research (GEMSSTAR) award from the NIH/NIA, and in 2014 won a New Investigator Award from the American Geriatrics Society.
