Fay Y. Lin, MD, MSc

Dr. Lin graduated magna cum laude with an AB in Physics from Harvard University, earned her MD at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and an MSc at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She completed her training in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, followed by cardiovascular training at Weill-Cornell Medical Center. She subsequently joined the faculty in 2008. She is originally from Arcadia, California

Dr. Lin is an Assistant Professor in the Greenberg Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an attending physician with the New York Presbyterian Cardiology Service. Her areas of interest include the impact of coronary artery disease on heart failure with a normal ejection fraction and the clinical utility of cardiac computed tomographic angiography (CCTA). Dr. Lin’s work has encompassed multiple aspects of CCTA: cardiac chamber and great vessel evaluation, risk stratification, preclinical atherosclerosis and cost effectiveness.

She has received support for her research including the Abigail Joseph Cohen Clinical Scholar Award and the American Heart Association Career Development Award. She has lectured across the country on the subject of CCTA and has published a broad range of articles and book chapters on CCTA as well as echocardiography.
